Strongly condemning the slapping of ‘lawless law’ Public Safety Act (PSA) on dozens of political activists and common people, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said that slapping of PSA cannot break the will of people. He said that police have booked senior activist of National Front and Singhpora Bapar Mandal, President Altaf Ahmad under PSA which is an indication that authorities have started using iron fist against pro-freedom people. “The so called administration is on path of a inhuman way to tackle the situation,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said adding “pro-freedom leadership had already warned authorities not to use undemocratic means to suppress the people’s voice but no one gave any heed to that and the result is in front of all.” Nayeem Ahmad Khan warned the administration to act within limits otherwise people will not forgive them and they will revolt in full gear. He strongly condemned the slapping of PSA on Altaf Ahmad and dozens of other political activists and common people and said that such tactics will only aggravate the situation.

Altaf Ahmad has been lodged in Kuthua jail. Nayeem Ahmad Khan also expressed concern over the ransacking of households in nook and corner of the valley at the hands of police and Indian forces. He said that a couple of days ago police and other forces went berserk in Hanjiwara, Pattan, Palhallan and other places and ransacked dozens of residential houses without any provocation. He strongly condemned police brutalities at Pattan, Palhallan and other areas of Baramulla and other districts. He said that such are the police brutalities that father, son duo was injured at Pattan due to unprovoked pellet firing and even a 9 year old minor was among dozens injured at Hanjiwera.Nayeem Ahmad Khan again pledged that the ongoing freedom struggle will be taken to its logical conclusion without compromising on freedom and honour of the people who have rendered countless sacrifices to break the chains of slavery.
