DC Doda holds grievance redressal cum awareness camp

District Development Commissioner Doda Mr Bhupinder Kumar today conducted tour of Tehsil Thathri and held public grievance redressal cum awareness camp at Village Parnote.SDM Thathri Mr Akhtar Qazi, ACD Doda Mr Susheel, CMO Doda Mr kulbhushan, BDO Thathri Mr Tariq Qazi, Chief Horticulture officer, Executive Engineers PDD, PHE, R&B besides prominent citizens of the village were present in the camp .During the camp people apprised the DDC with their demands pertaining to better road connectivity to the villages with the national highway, expansion of the existing Community centre, construction of water reservoirs in nearby villages along with strengthening of water distribution system, upgradation of Panthan school to the level of high school, facilitation of saffron and walnut cultivation in the area.

The people also demanded opening of more fair price shops and an Ayurvedic or Allopathic dispensary in the villages. Besides demands for strengthening the infrastructure of animal husbandry, horticulture and agriculture department in the village were also put forth by the public.The DDC gave a patient hearing and assured the people that their genuine demands would be looked into and redressed shortly. He also gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to take adequate steps to redress the problems of the people.He directed the officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Revenue departments to jointly conduct a survey of the area to explore the feasibility of cultivation of fruits especially walnut, saffron etc and also asked  the department of animal husbandry to provide technical help and expert advice  to the farmers to improve the quality of  livestock especially of milk yielding cow in the area.Later, the DDC directed the Block Development Officer to get the DPR prepared for expansion of the existing Community hall along with the construction of toilets.
