To expedite early start of work on the two AIIMS like institutes sanctioned by the Union Government for Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Secretary, B R SharmaWednesday chaired a meeting with the concerned Administrative Secretaries here.Besides Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama and Samba District’s and other officers were also present in the meeting.In the meeting, Chief Secretary reviewed issues concerned with land acquisition, power and water supply, drainage, approach road and clearances required in respect of the two sites selected for establishment of AIIMS viz. Awantipora in Pulwama District and Vijaypur in Samba District.Chief Secretary instructed the Revenue authorities to swiftly complete the relevant formalities for land acquisition. He also asked Administrative Secretaries of PWD, PDD & PHE to meanwhile start working on the plan of action to be implemented for meeting the immediate and future needs at the site with regard to approach road and drainage, power supply and water supply.
