Taking a leap forward towards providing clean, efficient and transparent governance to the people right at their doorsteps, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today dedicated the state of the art Sewa Kendra to the people.The Chief Minister inaugurated this Centre here today at a simple but impressive ceremony. When fully operational these one of its kind centres across the state would provide 243 citizen centric to the people right at their doorsteps thereby saving their precious time, money and energy.Addressing the gathering during the inauguration of Sewa Kendra, the Chief Minister described it as a historic day. Mr. Badal said that he was happy to dedicate this unique Kendra to the people as it was a step forward towards ensuring governance reforms in the state. He said that these centres would act as a catalyst to facilitate the people in getting their routine administrative works done in a speedy manner.Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of the function, the Chief Minister exhorted all the political parties to rise above their vested interests for crushing the ugly head of forces trying to disturb peace and communal harmony in the state. He said that all the sections of society must learn lesson from the black days faced by state in past. Mr. Badal said that that some forces were still trying to derail peace and development in state but we would not allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs. 

Replying to another query, the Chief Minister said that the state government was in constant touch with the Sikhs in Kashmir Valley. He said that the state government and Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee would leave no stone unturned to safeguard the interests of Sikh brethren in Jammu-Kashmir. Mr. Badal said that the state government was duty-bound to help any Sikh across the globe in such crisis.On another query, the Chief Minister said that political turncoats and opportunists have hardly any impact on the polity of state. He said only the verdict of people matter in democracy and shifting of loyalties by political leaders was largely insignificant. Mr. Badal said that mandate of people after 2017 polls would prove that people strongly reposed confidence and unflinching trust in pro-people and development oriented policies of SAD-BJP alliance.The Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Mr. KD Bhandari and Mr. Pawan Kumar Teenu, Chairman District Planning Committee Mr. Gurcharan Singh Channi, Mayor Mr. Sunil Jyoti, his Joint Special Principal Secretary Mr. Kumar Amit, Police Commissioner Mr. Arpit Shukla and Deputy Commissioner Mr. KK Yadav.
