Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Showkat Aijaz Bhat today had a comprehensive meeting of the health sector which was attended by CMO, Kulgam, Deputy CMO, District Health Officer, Medical Superintendents and all Block Medical Officers.The CMO apprised the meeting that 37033 OPD patients were attended during the turmoil period till July 31,2016, whereas 2241 IPD patients were attended.Deputy Commissioner was informed that 427 injured patients were also attended during the period, of which only 89 patients were referred to Srinagar. In addition, 267 normal deliveries, 102 C-sections, 122 major surgeries and 262 minor surgeries were also performed during the period.While taking the block-wise review, CMO detailed the meeting about the availability of medical/para-medical staff, besides the availability essential supplies/drugs and ambulances.Deputy Commissioner directed all the BMOs to replenish essential stocks without failure and also to ensure the presence of medical and para-medical staff at all the health institutions. Dy. CMO was instructed to take stock of the immunization of the infants at all the health centres of the district on NIDs.
