Exhorting upon the corporate entities to play a proactive role and take up sustainable initiatives under the Corporate social responsibility, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga today said that such initiatives can largely contribute in improving the quality of life.The Minister said this after inaugurating various development works taken up by Coromondal International Ltd, Bari Brahmana.The Minister was accompanied by MLA Samba Dr Devinder Manyal, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda, MD SIDCO Amit Sharma, SSP Joginder Singh, CMO Rajiv Sharma, CEO O.P Bhagat, President BBIA Lalit Mahajan, Associate Vice President Coromondal M. Harishankar and other officials from different departments.At the Primary Health Centre Bari Brahmana, new medical equipments like Auto Blood Analyzer (Haematology and Biochemistry) have been contributed by the company besides providing items including water cooler, Fridge and furniture for the waiting area. The Company also donated Desks, Ceiling fans, Sports kit and other items to Govt Primary School’s Kargal and Kartholi. A passenger shed at Industrial Area, Bari Brahmana set up  by the company was also inaugurated by the Minister.

The Minister while lauding the role of the organization said that such initiatives will help providing better medical facilities to the people. He said that other organization should also come forward and strengthen the initiatives of the government for bringing about a perceptible change in the society.He said  that the Govt shall be spending Rs 35 crores for maintenance and development of SIDCO in the state and Jammu-Kathua shall flourish as a prominent Industrial Belt in the region. While highlighting the new Industrial Policy and other initiatives under ease of doing business Mr Ganga said that it will  provide conducive environment for fostering industrial growth.Later, the Minister inaugurated new three Additional Class Rooms at Govt primary school Kagal constructed at the cost of 8.92 lacs under SSA.Speaking on the occasion the Minister said that the renovation of the school building was a long pending demand of the locals and reiterated that the government has laid special focus on the education sector adding that steps are afoot to provide better facilities in government schools.
