Punjab SC Commission Seeks Report From Adgp Crime Within 15 Days

The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has taken a suo-moto notice of the news reports as per which the members, with the inclusion of women, belonging to the SC community belonging to the village Sukhera Bodla in District Fazilka were beaten up. Divulging this here today, the Chairman of the commission, Mr. Rajesh Bagha said that the commission had got the information regarding beating up of SC community members from the news reports published in various newspapers. He also said that the commission has asked the ADGP Crime, Punjab (Chandigarh) to file a report concerning the incident within a span of 15 days in order to initiate proper action after probing the matter. Mr. Bagha further said that the commission is duty bound to redress the problems of SC community as per the law and strict action would be recommended against those responsible for this inhumanly act after getting the probe report.
