Carrying forward its compaign to apprise people outside J&K about the atrocities on Kashmiris by security forces, today AIP Delegation comprising Er Rashid, Tanvir Hussain Khan, Zeeshan Pandit and Inam un Nabi held detailed deliberations with German diplomats, many members of Indian parliament including K C Tyagi, Sudhindra Bhadoria and various social and human rights activists and groups. The deputation appealed them to understand sufferings of people of Jammu & Kashmir and force New Delhi to stop its brutalities on unarmed Kashmiris. Er Rashid made it clear that Kashmiris should not be held responsible for the current turmoil in the state as it is not due to any law and Order problem but the reason is India’s continuous failure to resolve Kashmir Dispute, which has been kept burning since 1947. The deputation sought intervention from the civilised and saner voices within and outside India to ask India and Pakistan to resolve Kashmir dispute for lasting peace in the sub continent. AIP Deputation gave detailed briefing during the meetings about the excessive use of force by security forces on peaceful protestors, the damages caused due to use of pellet guns and increasing sufferings of kashmiri people due to imposition of strict curfew in entire Kashmir and sought immediate intervention to end the siege of the valley.(GNS)
