Director SKIMS appeals people for smooth drive of ambulances

Director, SKIMS Soura, Dr. A G Ahanagar has appealed public to ensure smooth movement of ambulances.“As you know there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of patients especially critically sick and trauma related due to prevailing adverse conditions managing which needs unrestricted movement of ambulances and other vehicles carrying hospital staff,” Dr Ahanagar said in a statement.“The public and all shades of organizations are requested to co-operate with SKIMS staff and as always make sure that the movement of ambulances and other vehicles is not affected anywhere.”

Meanwhile, all the cancer patients who are unable to reach SKIMS for Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy due to untoward circumstances have been requested to contact their District Hospitals/ Sub district Hospitals / Primary Health care centers for oral anticancer drugs.The SKIMS authorities have taken up the matter with Director Health Services Jammu & Kashmir who would coordinate the availability of the Tamoxifen, Letrozole, Imatinib, Bicalutamide, Geftinib, Temozolamide drugs from SKIMS Soura at these centers under his Administration.Director Health Services Kashmir has also been requested to coordinate with regard to transport facilities for such patients who need in-hospital Cancer Care at SKIMS Srinagar.
