With strict curfew and communication blockade continuing in the Valley, life has become difficult even as one more civilian has succumbed to his injuries in SHMS this afternoon.An elderly man from North Kashmir’s Lolab succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Srinagar.Gul Mohammad Mir, 75, from Khumriyal area of Lolab in Kupwara district he was hit by bullet when reportedly forces had opened fire on unarmed protestors in Lolab area four days ago.Doctors in SMHS said that he was admitted in the hospital four day before and he succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik have jointly issued shutdown calendar and extended the strike till July 25.In a statement issued jointly by the leaders to KNS, they said that on Thursday shutdown will be observed till 2 pm and after which people can open their shops and move around to stock essential commodities.They said that people in the Valley should observe ‘Kashmir Day’ on July 22, shutdown on July 23 and slogans in masjids after magrhib prayers, shutdown on July 24 and blackout in the evening and shutdown on July 25 with protests across the valley against the innocent civilians killings in Islamabad district.

The unrest continues for the 12th today after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, by forces in Bumdoora village of Kokernag in Anantnag district on July 8 evening.Mobile phones and internet services remained suspended in the Valley, however, only BSNL Broadband and post-paid services are being allowed to operate. Train services also remained suspended.Top Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah and others have been either placed under house arrest or taken into preventive custody to restrain them from participating in protests. Separatists have appealed the people to continue the shutdown till Monday.Newspapers have failed to hit the stands on the fifth day today as government flip-flopped over the media gag, and now the owners demand an open apology from the government.
