Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come down heavily on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal for drawing comparison of the party with ISIS (a terror outfit) and terming its leaders as radicals & Khalistanis. AAP, Punjab Convener, Sucha Singh Chhotepur said Sukhbir seemed to have completely lost his mind after seeing massive ground swell in favour of AAP in Punjab and sensing his imminent defeat in the 2017 assembly polls". "Though Sukhbir denies his obsession with AAP but during his entire interview he talks nothing else but about AAP. Sukhbir looks visibly scared. It also shows how AAP is giving relentless nightmares and sleeplessness nights to Sukhbir", said Chhotepur while referring to an interview Sukhbir had given to an English daily.

Chhotepur said Sukhbir's attempt to compare the AAP with ISIS not only exhibited his impoverish mindset but also showed how he has been constantly living in the fear of the AAP that would soon uproot him and his family's ten year old corrupt regime from Punjab.“AAP is the party of the common man unlike SAD which is being run by the Badal family like a private limited company. SAD is all about Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Badal, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Bikram Majithia and Adesh Partap Singh Kairon. Rest of the leaders in SAD don't even matter to the Badal family", said Chhotepur adding that if Sukhbir was not born as son to Parkash Singh Badal he could not have been even a councilor in a municipal committee.

Chhotepur also lashed out at Sukhbir for maligning the Non Resident Indians (NRIs) by dubbing them as radicals or Khalistanis. “Sukhbir is only venting out his frustration at the Punjab’s NRIs after being summarily rejected by them. Only a year ago Badals used to hold NRI Sammelans to woo them. But ever since the Punjab’s NRIs have turned against Badals, they have suddenly become either radicals or Khalistanis for the Badals ", said Chhotepur.
