Volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party lead by the state leadership hold protests at district headquarters throughout Punjab to oppose the arrest of its Delhi MLA Naresh Yadav by Punjab Police. Later the leaders handed over a memorandum addressed to Hon’ble President of India to Deputy Commissioners concerned. In a media statement Aam Aadmi Party state convener, Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that the arrest of AAP MLA is part of the deep rooted conspiracy of Badals against the AAP leaders for exposing their wrongdoings in last 9 years.Chhotepur said that Badals have now nothing to show on the name of report card of government and are unable to cop up with the anti-incumbency in the state. On the other hand, AAP is getting popularity everyday for raising the voice of people.“The case against Yadav is just a political vendetta of Badal. The accused Vijay Kumar himself admitted being associated with VHP but police pressurized him to name AAP leader in the desecration case. Naresh Yadav had been fully cooperating with the Police Enquiry and will continue to do that. The people are fully aware of the acts of Badals and will reply them in same coin in 2017” said Chhotepur.
