Condemning that brutal murder of a youth in broad day light here, State Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sucha Singh Chhotepur today said that Law & Order situation in the state has achieved new height of its deterioration and people are not feeling state in Punjab. While everyday report of the heinous crime is reported in the media, but Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, who also holds home portfolio, does not take it seriously and claims of improvement in law & order situation in the state, Chhotepur said. It is shocking and surprising that although Mata Chand Kaur of Namdhari Sect in Ludhiana was murdered, followed by a fierce attack on Sant Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale, in which one of his close associated Baba Bhupinder Singh was killed, Sukhbir Badal still claims complete peace in the state.

Elaborating on the murder of youth today at Jalandhar, Chhotepur said that it seems that criminals have no fear of Police, which could be evident from the fact that a group of ‘Gundas’ equipped with sharp edged weapons, murdered a youth in busy area in broad day light, he added. It is pertinent to mention here that in the area surrounding Guru Nanak Pura West locality in Jalandhar, two youths were brutally attacked with swords and sickles by a group of unidentified men.  The two were rushed to a hospital where one of the critically injured youths succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Money a resident of Basti Bawa Khel and a student of Khalsa College while the injured has been identified as Munish Kumar son of Banwari Lal also a resident of Basti Bawa Khel and a B.Com student of GNDU Regional Campus at Ladhewali.
