The Kashmir Economic Alliance, Chairman, Haji Mohammed Yasin Khan Monday condemned the continued bloodbath terming it “genocide” of Kashmiri Muslims by the state government.“Where does it happen other than Kashmir that peace protesters or stone-pelters or that matter are treated with bullets. This is nothing but genocide of Kashmiri Muslims,” he said in a astatement issued to KNS.Khan, who also heads the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation, said the government should feel ashamed for its failure to safeguard previous human lives. “There’s no end to killings and other causalities. Hundreds of wounded are lying in hospitals. Hundreds others have lost vital organs, eyesight,” he said.He said the government has even failed to provide safe passage for the ambulances, which ferry the wounded to the hospitals. “This all suggests at strategic genocide,” he said.

"This is the biggest ever humanitarian crises of this decade as such huge number of fatalities were never reported before."He said the government should equally feel ashamed that it wants separatists to help in restoration of peace though they continue to be caged.Khan said the government continues to be so arrogant that its spokesman didn’t even bother to respond to media queries. “What for was the press conference called then to defend the killings,” Khan said.He appealed the international community particularly Amnesty International to put pressure on the Indian government to end the civilian killings in Kashmir. He said the Kashmir Inc would provide all possible support to the wounded undergoing treatment at government hospitals.
