“The SAD-BJP Government is fully committed to protecting the river waters of Punjab and would pull out all stops so as to ensure that the interests of Punjab are not affected on SYL issue which is a matter of life and death importance for farming community of the state.”Clearly stating this in his interactions with the media-persons during the 2nd and last day of sangat darshan here today, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal further said that not even a single drop of water would be allowed to go out of the state and this pledge is an article of faith with the Punjab government.Appealing to the people of the state to beware of some unscrupulous forces out to fan the fires of communalism in the state, the Deputy Chief Minister warned that the Punjab government would not tolerate any mischief mongers and if such elements did any mischief then they would be dealt with strictly.He also said that while earlier he made the commitment of 5 terms of SAD-BJP government in the state, seeing the overwhelming response of people to the pro-development initiatives of the government he can now very well make a claim of 6th term too.

Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister met and listened to the problems of the people of village Chak Janisar, Chak Kharunj, Janisar, Chak Suhelewala, Ladhuwala Utaar, Pakka Kalewala, Chak Dhab Khushhal Joyian, dhab khushhal joyian-1, Jandwala, Arniwala, chak arniwala, basti faliawali, Chak Araiyanwala, Araiyanwala , Balluana and Kamrewala and instructed the officials present to make to mitigate the problems on a priority basis. The high point of the today’s sangat darshan was the announcement of a new canal suhelewala minor in order to fulfill the irrigational needs of the farmers besides Rs. 10 lakh for community hall, 6 lakh for a stadium, 3 lakh for pond, 2 lakh for cremation ground at janisar. He also announced Rs. 15 lakh for stadium, Rs. 2.50 lakh at village chak janisar and Rs. 3 lakh for repair of community hall and Rs. 1.50 lakh for dharamshala at village chak kharunj. 

Apart from these, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal also laid the foundation stones for CC flooring of all streets and 100 percent water supply at Chak Dhab Khushhal Joyian, chak dhab khushhal joyian-1, Chak Araiyanwala and Araiyanwala.On the occasion, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, D.I.G. Ranbir Singh Khattra, SSP Narinder Bhargav, Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Halqa Incharge Satinderjit Singh Manta, Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia, Chairman District Planning Board Prem Valecha, District Rural President Gurpal Singh Grewal, Senior SAD Leader Vardev Singh Mann, Vice-Chairman Punjab Agro Ashok Juneja and other prominent leaders were also present.
