Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today asked the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal to explain his or his family’s stakes in the Orbit Aviations, an airline company, owned by one of his close relatives.
Capt Amarinder told Mr Badal that while the people of Punjab already know a lot about Orbit Transport, Orbit Resorts and Orbit hotels not many people know about Orbit Aviations as there is a lot of curiosity and interest among the people of Punjab to know whether their Chief Minister’s family really owns an airlines company as also some private planes.
The PCC President pointed out, there are already reports of his son and the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal having got purchased private jets and only a confirmation was awaited from the first family of the state.
“You can simply deny if the reports are wrong that none of your family members or close relatives have any stake in the Orbit Aviations and nor does Mr Sukhbir Badal or any of his close relative own a private jet”, Capt Amarinder asked Mr Badal, while adding, coming clear on the issue will be in his interest only besides satisfying the curiosity of the people.
