Adbi Markaz Maraaz in collaboration with District Information Office, Anantnag, organized a Mehfil e Mushiara here at Dak Bunglow, in which renowned poets of South Kashmir presented their couplets and enthralled the audience.Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Muneer ul Islam was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Ghulam Nabi Aatash presided over as guest of honour.The renowned poets who presented their latest poetry included Zahid Mukhtar, Qasim Sajad, Dr. Hasrat Hussain, G.M Asti, Yousuf Dilbar, Zaffar Farooq Salati, Ghulam Nabi Wani, Nasir Naseer, MS Mehar and Javaid Sagar.‘Khwab Te Khayal,’ a book penned by Dr Hasrat Hussain was also launched on the occasion.The Deputy Commissioner, in his address, appreciated the Adbi Markaz Maraaz for holding such literary events and requested the poets to preserve and transmit the rare and priceless culture, traditions and language of Kashmir. Besides, he said that poetry is not a profession but a responsibility and  by virtue of great poets, people have been able to understand the purpose and meaning of life.
