Manhas lays foundation stone of bridge at Paloura

Member Parliament ( Rajya Sabha ), Shamsher Singh Manhas today laid foundation stone of Double Lane Steel Plate Girder Bridge at BSF Camp Paloura today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manhas said that bridge will cost Rs 85 Lakh. He said construction of double lane bridge was the long pending demand of the area as people were facing lot of difficulties because of traffic jamming at the site. He further asked the Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control to ensure timely completion of the bridge so that people of the area feel a sigh of relief.Referring to the other development works in the area, the Member Parliament said that a comprehensive project of Rs 6.50 crore have been formulated for Artificial Lake and other allied works including parks and fountains by Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) which when completed will give  a beautiful  look to the area.Manhas exhorted upon the officers to use development funds judiciously in every part of the region to achieve better results at ground level.Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, prominent citizens including Chairman Residents Welfare Association, Paloura, Mr. O. P. Sharma, besides Bua Dutta, R. K. Bhalla, Bahadur Singh, Balbir Singh Manhas, R. K. Sharma and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
