Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din has expressed serious concern over the losses caused to crops and property due to heavy rains and snowfall in Uri.He said Darwan, Qassi, Wachi, Gagarhil, Badali, Babgil, Gohal, Nambla, Marian in Bonyar in Uri are badly affected. So many families have been left shelter less.He urged upon the Governor Administration to make assessment of losses caused due to heavy rains and take measure for providing compensation to affected families.Meanwhile, Taj Mohi U Din has expressed anguish over the land erosion due to heavy rains at various places in North Kashmir. There has been land erosion at Kupwara, Lolab, Karnah, Chandoosa, Handwara, Baramulla, Rafiabad, Chandoosa and other areas posing a great to risk the lives and property, which is a matter of great concern, he said.He (Taj Mohi U Din) urged upon the Governor Administration to take stock of the land erosion and identify other area also where there is a possibilities of such a type of situations. He demanded alternate residential arrangement for the people, so that safety of people and property is ensured, he said. (KNS)
