A seminar on “Role of women in nation building” was organised by District Information centre at Government Higher Secondary School Chatroo here today.Tehsildar Sheetal Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Cultural Officer Education Department Nissar Ahmed, Principal of the institution Rajesh Sharma, Lecturers, teachers, locals and students also participated in the programme.About 10 students from the institution expressed their views highlighting the achievements of women in the field of science, sports, research, administration, defence and politics. Mehak Iqbal of Class 12th was adjudged best speaker whereas the second and third position was shared by Aaqib Bashir of Class 10th and Sameer Ahmed of class 12th respectively. Meanwhile a colourful cultural programme depicting the rich culture of Kishtwar was presented by the renowned local artists including Nisar Hussain Dulwal, Farooq Bakshi, Touseef Nasir, Shadab Shiekh and Gulshan Ahmed.
