Punjab Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Mr Arvind Kejriwal is not a trustworthy person and is indulging in politics of 'Nautanki'. He said that this could be known from the fact that Kejriwal did not visit his home state of Haryana despite the fact that violence occurred there few days back, but has come to Punjab for his petty politics.While addressing the press conference, Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Kejriwal is walking in the footsteps of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and is misguiding people. He said that like Rahul Gandhi goes to the houses of poor and behaves like a commoner, whereas Kejriwal is doing the same but the fact is that he has miserably failed as Chief Minister of Delhi state.He said that Arvind Kejriwal is indulging in misleading advertising campaign which is funded with public money. He said that for his misleading advertising campaign, Kejriwal has spent more than Rs 532 crore from the public exchequer. He said that by opening a small dispensary, Kejriwal starts claiming that he has fulfilled his promise, and he has been doing the same for his other election promises as well.

The Deputy CM said that before befooling the Punjabis, Kejriwal should first fulfil his promises made with the people of Delhi. He said that Kejriwal had promised opening of 500 new schools, 20 new colleges, free wifi facility, drug free Delhi, filling 55000 vacant posts, besides several other things. He said that Kejriwal has miserably failed to fulfil any of his promises made with the people of Delhi.He said that the staff of municipal corporation and health department in Delhi are on strike, which proves that Kejriwal has failed on every front. He said instead of fulfilling his promises with people of Delhi, Kejriwal is misleading Punjabis with his malicious agenda.In reply to a question, Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the decision of announcing CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal as the Chief Ministerial candidate for 2017 elections is a unanimous decision of the party, and the SAD-BJP combine would form the next government for the third time in a row. He also launched development projects worth Rs 413 crore for the city and said that very soon, two new road projects worth Rs 1238 crore would be started for the city, which would help in reducing traffic congestion in a big way.He said that the first project is of the four-laned elevated road that would be constructed from Ludhiana city till Samrala Chowk (NH95) and second project would connect Ladhowal Bypass NH 95 with NH1 via Ladhowal Seed Farm. He further stated that the 12.951 kilometer long elevated road would be constructed with a cost of Rs 867.72 crore and 17.041 kilometer long Ladhowal bypass would be constructed with a cost of Rs 370.17 crore.

At Guru Nanak Bhawan, the Deputy CM handed over keys of new houses to 500 people from economically weaker sections of the society and announced that the Punjab government would provide one lakh houses to economically weaker sections of the society in one year. He also laid the foundation stone of Community Centre and Senior Citizen Club at Sector 39 on Chandigarh Road, here, that would be constructed with a cost of Rs 5.58 crore. He also announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh at Ravidass Mandir and said that the birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar would be celebrated as a state level function on April 14. He also inaugurated a drug de-addiction centre at Mullanpur.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Advisor to CM Mr Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, MLAs Darshan Singh Shivalik, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, former minister Hira Singh Gabria, Punjab PLanning Board vice chairman Prof Rajinder Bhandari, SAD District President and vice chairman of Traders Board Madan Lal Bagga, BJP district president Parveen Bansal, senior Akali leader Dr Tajinderpal Singh, Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Rahul Tewari, DC Ravi Bhagat, Police Commissioner Paramraj Singh Umranangal, besides several others.
