Governor N. N. Vohra, released Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book-2016, which has been brought out by Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ), at the Raj Bhavan here today. This Guide Book provides relevant information to guide the intending pilgrims to Amarnathji Yatra about various matters relating to the Yatra which commences on 2nd July and ends on 18th August, 2016.The Governor urged members of TFJ and all other stakeholders to coordinate their efforts to support the Shrine Board in organizing a planned and orderly Yatra which ensures the safety and security of the pilgrims. He observed that as J&K is an important tourism destination, all the Travel and Tour Operators should enlarge their capacities to meet the fast increasing needs and requirements of this sector. He also sought their well considered suggestions for further improving the arrangements for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine pilgrimage.Present on the occasion were Mr. P. K Tripathi, Principal Secretary to the Governor and CEO Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB); Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Chairman TFJ and Executive Members of the TFJ; and President- Jammu Chamber of Commerce.
