Accusing previous PDP BJP Coalition Govt for preparation of Wrong Data , JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir has said that the previous ruling dispensation have enrolled their workers and blue eyed persons by indulging in mass bunglings while preparing a data, hundreds of families have been left out on political lines. While implementing the Act centre should ensure that there must not be any reduction in the existing Ration Quota of the State and those who are not covered under the act should get the ration without any difficulty. PCC Chief has said this while addressing a largely attended public meetings at Dooru today.PCC Chief has said that wrong preparation of data by previous Govt has made the Food Security Act more controversial, for the fact, both PDP and BJP have indulged in mass favoritism while preparing the Data. It is unfortunate, both the Coalition Partners wanted to benefit their blue persons and left the common people at the mercy of God, aiming to keep their vote bank intact, he said.

Urging Governor Administration to ensure ration to the people on the same analogy they have been getting since decades, JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir has called for revisiting the Food Security Act as it has become a contemptuous issue in its present form due to the wrong policies of PDP BJP Coalition Govt in the state. Centre should also ensure that there should not be any reduction in the existing quota while implementing the Act. People of the State are already hit in absence of the Elected Govt, the implementation of Act “in Present Form” would further alienate them, which will be a matter of great concern.

Urging Centre Govt to ensure ration to those also who are not covered under the Act, PCC Chief expressed surprise over the intentions of the PDP BJP Coalition while working on the Food Security Bill, he said.

Referring to the massive protests against the Food Security Act in Bandipora, Kupwara, Anantnag, Kapran, Dooru, Ganderbal. Budgam, Srinagar and elsewhere in the State, PCC Chief said that there is a need to revisit the Act and urged upon the Governor to respond to people’s issues by revisiting the Food Security Act and ensure that every family or person should get the rations as they have been getting so far, he said.Urging His Excellency the Governor to address the people’s issues, PCC Chief said that it would be a great injustice to those persons or families, who have been left or being deprived of the Ration on Political Lines and warned that it will have a negative impact on the development of the State. He said Jammu and Kashmir State especially valley being the highly rice eater place in the Country need to be provided ration as per the food habit and Centre Govt should also ensure ration to those who are not covered under the Act.He (G.A. Mir) said the people here consume rice in large quantity and curtailment in Rations would make the people feel isolated and disappointed, he said.

PCC Chief has said that Governor Administration should find out a solution to this burning problem in order to end the chaos He said people should get the ration as per the family strength as they have been receiving since decades, the reduction in Rations due to the implementation of food security Act (in It’s Present Form) in the State is not going to solve the issues confronting people rather it will make the people more apprehensive, so the shrewd thing would be to revisit the Food Security Act.PCC Chief said that Food Security Act has become a contemptuous issue in the State due to lack of experience and wrong policies of PDP BJP Coalition Govt and he (G.A. Mir) believes that implementing the Act without working out the modalities would obviously disturb the socio political atmosphere of the State. He said people have every right to fight for their rights and demonstrate in order to get their issues resolved and any move to suppress their voices without finding solution is unethical, undemocratic and unacceptable, he said.PCC Chief impressed upon the Governor Administration to address this issue, so that chaos and confusion created comes to an end.
