The second day of Public Information Campaign, being organized by Press Information Bureau was dedicated to implementation of Government schemes besides imparting awareness about various beneficial programmes launched by the Government of India.MLA, Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia was Chief Guest on the occasion while Assistant Commissioner Development, Sunil Sharma was the Guest of Honour.Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Jasrotia appreciated Press Information Bureau for their efforts in organizing such awareness campaigns in remote areas of the state. He desired that the officials engaged with implementation of various flagship schemes at grassroots level should work with sincerity in order to achieve tangible results.

Speaking on the occasion, ACD Sunil Sharma appreciated the role of PIB for conducting such a mega event and appreciated the active participation of departments in this campaign.Media & Communications Officer, PIB Sunil Koul informed the audience about aims and objectives of conducting such campaigns.Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India’s exhibition on the theme ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ remains the centre of attraction during the second day of the Public Information Campaign organized at Sports Stadium Kathua. The exhibition depicted the achievements of the central government through photographs. Large number of visitors thronged the exhibition getting first-hand information about the developmental activities conducted throughout the nation.

DAVP also conducted a quiz competition on the occasion. The quiz contest was based on various flagship programmes of Government of India with a view to aware the masses in general and the young generation in particular about benefits and salient features of various centrally sponsored schemes.A large number of students representing different schools participated in the competition. MLA Rajiv Jasrotia distributed prizes among winners of the Quiz competition.Meanwhile theme based cultural programme was also presented by artists of Song and Drama division.
