Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Thursday mocked at politicians who seek preferential treatment on the roads at the cost of the public.Speaking in the assembly, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said that one reason often cited to clear the roads when ministers travelled was that they cannot waste their time at traffic junctions.“I have been driving the past few days. I stop at all red lights. I don’t think my time is wasted,” he said, looking at the opposition benches.
Kejriwal, who continues to use his own car and has refused to accept police security, also said that no amount of security would be able to save a VIP if he did not have pine blessings.“As long as God is with you, nobody can harm you,” he said. “When God decides otherwise, nobody can save you, whatever be the number of bodyguards.”He added: “VIP culture in this country must end.”
