In order to spread awareness about the value of Girl Education, District Information Centre, Samba today organized a multilingual Mushiara at Government Higher Secondary School Gho-Brahmana, Tehsil Vijaypur of District Samba in which local poets participated and recited their poems concerning Beti Bachao Beti Padhao which seeks to address gender imbalance and discrimination against the girl child.Many prominent and budding poets of the District including Ajit Pal Sharma,  Ravi Dutta, Basakhi Ram Sharma, Neelam Gandotra, Satyapaul Gadwalia, Rohit Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Surjeet Kumar and others presented their poetry which was appreciated by all.Sarpanch Gho-Brahmana, Ram Paul Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while Principal GHHS Gho-Brahmana, Zara Singh was the guest of honour. He appreciated Information Department for organizing such programmes to highlight important social issues and promoting the local language.The programme was organized for awareness among the masses and also to provide platform to the poets for promoting the local languages.Large number of locals and students were present on the occasion.
