Reiterating Government’s commitment to provide better basic amenities to the people of the State, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture  Raman Bhalla today said that the Government has taken several innovative measures to improve   living condition of the people especially those residing in poor basties of the State.The Minister was addressing a large gathering after inspecting pace of progress on various developmental works in Babliana area, here today.Mr. Bhalla said fulfilling of people’s aspirations and developmental needs is top agenda of the Government. He assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner.  .The Minister said Government has earmarked Rs. 39 lakh for upgradation of lanes and drains, including construction of   culverts over drains in in the Babliana locality.The Minister stressed upon the concerned engineers and officers to redouble their efforts and accelerate pace of all ongoing works in their respective jurisdictions. 

He directed them to ensure use of quality material in execution of the works, adding that the objective of the Government is to create adequate basic infrastructure across the State.Mr. Bhalla said that Government has taken some bold and historical steps to revive overall developmental profile of the State. He said sectors like PHE, health, R&B, education, tourism, power among other sectors have received focus attention of the Government adding ‘it was the only pro-people policy that the masses at present benefited by quality education, healthcare facilities at their doorsteps.The Minister said to connect rural areas with urban pockets, the execution of several ambitious road projects worth crore of rupees are in apace across the State. He said keen attention is being also paid towards increasing power generation in the State, adding several macro, micro and mini power projects have been taken up for which besides State, the Centre is providing liberal financial assistance to the State.Mr. Bhalla asked the officers to reach the people and solve their problems without any hindrances. He warned the officers against any laxity with regard to the solving of problems of the poor lot adding that any complaint in this regard would invite strict action against the delinquent officers and officials.

Earlier, Mr. Bhalla also inaugurated free medical Ayurvedic Camp at Babliana. The camp organised by All India Kissan Sewa Sang.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister called upon the people to use Ayurvedic medicine as it is not any side effect. He appreciated the role played by All India Sewa Sang in arranging such a free medical camp in Babliana village. He emphasised upon their role of kissans in herbal products and in propagating Indian system of medicines especially Ayurveda. He stressed upon to use Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga to get rid of disease and especially dreadful diseases. He stressed upon the use of herbal plants.
