Garbage dumpers installed in Udhampur town

For maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness in the town, Municipality Council Udhampur launched a drive to install garbage dumpers in different wards of the town.The Drive was launched by the District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal who was accompanied by IAS Probationer, Rajindra Kumar and prominent citizens of the town.The DDC disclosed that as many as 20 dumpers have been procured for dumping the garbage which was dumped in open along the road sides in the town. With the installation of these garbage dumpers definitely help in face lifting of the town, she maintained.  She said that the installing sites for the erection of garbage dumpers have been identified and necessary instruction were already issued to the Executive Officer of Municipal Council. She directed the Executive officer for ensuring that the dumpers should be made empty on regularly basis so that the people residing nearby don’t face any problems in disposing their garbage.Calling upon the people of the town to use these dumpers and not disposing their garbage in open which great a big nuisance not only to the passersby but also effect the environment of the town.Later, the Municipal Council Udhampur installed 17 dumpers in various locations of the town and kept the remaining three with them for installing them where required in near future.
