Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Tuesday said that Government machinery and Forces including local police and CRPF are busy in suppressing the people of Kashmir. “Framing innocent people of Kashmir in false cases, torture, random arrests and murdering them and later on giving a clean chit to culprits are all the attempts to break the resolve of people of Kashmir towards Freedom Struggle,” Malik said in a statement to CNS adding that it is irony that CRPF personnel responsible for the murder of Engineer Student from Zainakot Srinagar Gowhar Nazir have been given clean chit by their officer.

To protest Modi’s arrival in Kashmir on 7 November 2014, people organized protests. During the protest, CRPF murdered a budding Engineering student Gowhar Nazir. When Magisterial Inquiry is going on, the CRPF DIG has been claiming culprits are innocent. All this makes it amply clear that these probes are all eyewash while so called rulers leave no stone unturned to save the marauding troopers.Yasin Malik made it clear that Kashmiri people neither believe in any Indian sponsored government nor it have any faith in probe committees constituted by so called rulers. “The so called inquiries ordered from time to time were aimed to save the skin of troopers who are involved in killings and rapes and other human rights violations in Kashmir. The marauding troopers were always given a clean chit and it’s recent example is the case of Gowhar Nazir,” he said.

Malik appealed international community, human rights organizations and Amnesty International to take note of the atrocities committed by India in Kashmir. Meanwhile, Malik visited Chatpora Pulwama and expressed sympathy with the family of Omais Ahmed, who was killed in Bandipora. While paying rich tribute to the slain militant, Malik reiterated that ongoing freedom struggle will be taken to its logical end. (CNS)
