The first train under Mukh Mantri Tirath Darshan Yatra Scheme (MMTDYS) is heading towards Sri Hazoor Sahib with pilgrims from Vidhan Sabha Constituency, Attari reciting Gurbani during the journey. Today at about 12 noon the train reached Bhopal.Earlier, at Palwal railway station, the Delhi Gurudwara Prabandak Committee and the Sangat from Delhi extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims.Nearly, 1022 pilgrims hailing from Attari along with the Cabinet Minister from Attari, Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike and his family are traveling in this train. The complete travel arrangements and the hospitality are being looked into by IRCTC with the expenses being met by Government of Punjab. The melodious, sweet recital of Gurbani is being continuously played in the train through the speakers installed in each bogie of the train. 

The pilgrims also recited the same as well the Paath of Sukhmani Sahib.Cabinet Minister Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike is personally overseeing all the arrangements and he along with his better half is also doing ‘sewa’ in preparation of Langar. SDM Asr-2, Rajesh Sharma and Balraj Singh, district tourism officer, Amritsar are also traveling in the train and coordinating things on behalf of the district administration and the department of tourism. The officers are ensuring adequate medical facilities, provision of cleanliness and hygiene. The food to be served to the yatris is also duly checked by them. For the entertainment of children traveling in the train, indoor games like ludo and carom board have been provided and dolki, chimta and other musical instruments have been provided to pilgrims desirous of reciting the hymns.IRCTC has made arrangement of doctors in the train and is providing free of cost tea, water and langar to the sangat. On reaching Sri Hazoor Sahib, they will provide also free of cost accommodation to the pilgrims as well as free transportation to the hotels via buses.The train is running a little behind the schedule and is expected to reach Sri Hazoor Sahib by tomorrowmorning but the yatris are unaffected by the delay due to their comfort being well looked into.
