The J.K. Public School, Kunjwani today observed its 24th annual day celebrations with lot of enthusiasm and fan fare. The students displayed their skills and presented a colorful bonanza of cultural items based on patriotism and national integration that enthralled the jam packed audience.Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Mr. Bali Bhagat who was chief guest on the occasion, lauded the all round performance of the school and congratulated the coaches and teachers for nurturing the talent of students. He said that extra-curricular activities are as important as academic for all round development of the students which enables them to remain fit. He stressed on need for nurturing the future of the students in a way that they compete in different competitions and contribute in the nation building. The teachers and parents have greater responsibility in the development of the children and they must make coordinated efforts to achieve the common goal, said the Minister.
Reiterating his appeal to educational institutions for help in conservation of environment and other natural resources in the State, the Minister said that the students and teachers can contribute immensely in the noble cause by spreading the message in the society. He called upon the teachers to focus on this important subject on daily basis so that collective efforts are supplemented in curbing the menace of climate change due to degraded environment across the State. He also appealed the audience to use special occasions like birthdays/marriage anniversaries for planting trees which could immensely help in dealing with the environment hazards, he added.The Minister also distributed trophies and laptops among the students who excelled in academic and sports activities.Earlier, the Principal, Mr. S.K. Singh presented the annual report and future initiatives for the development of the school.Chairman J.K. Educational Society, Mr. Raj Daluja, large number of parents, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
