Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gutpa today said that Government is committed to ensure people receive fruits of welfare measures and development initiatives. He said Government is also concentrating on giving people a transparent and responsive system of Governance in the State.Mr Gupta was speaking during a public meeting; he chaired here today at Shiv Mandir Mohalla, Sunjawan, Bathindi. He also toured the area to take stock of the development works and interacted with the local people.Senior Leaders, Baldev Singh Balowria, Vinay Gupta, Harbhajan Singh,  Madan Singh Salathia, Punjab Singh, Raj Kumar, Dr. Tahir Choudhary, Haji Showkat ali besides large number of people were present on the occasion.

Responding to the demands raised by people, Speaker said that electric network in the area will be further strengthened besides old transformers will be replaced by new ones at the earliest. He said main link roads leading to the colonies shall also be upgraded.He also highlighted various development works being executed under PHE, Health and other departments.Speaker also highlighted the development initiatives being under taken in Gandhinagar Constituency. He said many projects have been started with clear directions to the executing agencies to maintain quality standards.
