Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat on Friday termed the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) a draconian law and well planned conspiracy against Kashmir as this draconian law will push Kashmir into starvation.Zaffer Akbar Bhat accompanied by party leaders and activists lead a rally from Saderkoot Budgam to martyrs graveyard. People participating in the rally raised high pitched slogans in favor of Islam and freedom. At Martyrs graveyard, glowing tributes were paid to Shaheed Manzoor Ahmad @ Gayoor Sahib and others martyrs of Kashmir.Addressing a gathering, Zaffer Akbar Bhat cautioned puppet state government and threatened to launch massive protests if the law is implemented. He said that the implementation of draconian Food Act will push Kashmir into starvation.

Zaffer said that after failing to crush the ongoing freedom struggle through bullets and weapons, Indian government will the active support of puppet government is planning to kill people by denying them the food and wants to push Kashmir into starvation.He said that if India is so poor can’t afford to provide required quantity of food to Kashmir then it must re-open the traditional routes connecting Kashmir with rest of the world via Pakistan and Afghanistan where from food and other essentials can be imported from the countries respecting humanity and willing to help Kashmiris. He said that humanity is still alive and many countries including Islamic are ready help their Kashmiri brethren and will provide eatables.He also expressed concern over the shortage of essentials including cooking gas and electricity and said that India is looting the natural resources of state but in return is denying naive Kashmiris the basic necessities to common Kashmiris.

Zaffer said that despite producing thousands of MV’s of electricity, NHPC- the replica of modern East India company is selling it to other states while as people suffer due to 20 hours daily power cut.He also condemned the slapping of infamous PSA law on innocents in Kashmir and denounced the detention of two youngsters in Palhalan. He expressed sympathy with the families of Adil Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Muhammad and Mohd Ashraf who have been jailed.Zaffer denounced such oppressive measures and said that such inhuman acts can’t deter Kashmiris from achieving right to self determination- guaranteed by United Nations.People present in the gathering raised pro-Islam and Pro-freedom slogans and reaffirmed to support ongoing freedom struggle despite odds.
