Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Ramesh Kumar, chaired a meeting with Multisystem and Local Cable Operators to review progress on making Digital Addressable System operational across the District.During the meeting, the DC impressed upon cable operators to complete the switching over to digital mode in their respective areas within cutoff date of 31st December’ 2015. He also called for better coordination between Multisystem and Local Cable Operators for smooth completion of the process of digitization.Earlier Multisystem and local Cable Operators apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues including shortage of Set Top Boxes, responding to which the Deputy Commissioner assured that needful steps shall be taken to resolve the issue.DC also took review under District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) for Cable Operators regarding monitoring of the content broadcast on cable network, and called for immediate reporting of any such content infringing the prescribed programme and advertisement code under Cable TV Network Regulation Act, 1995.Among others Additional Superintendent of Police Nasir Khan, Tehsildar Headquarter Kathua, District Information Officer, members of District Level Monitoring Committee and Cable Operators from the district were also present in the meeting.
