Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan is scheduled to inaugurate the 31st three day Public Information Campaign/Jan Soucna Abhiyan to be organized by Press Information Bureau Srinagar in coordination with DFP, S&DD, AIR, DD & District Administration, on December 08 at Mini Sports Stadium, Uri Baramulla.Addressing a press conference at Dakbanglow Baramulla today Ghulam Abbas, Assistant Director (M&C), PIB Srinagar said that around 40 stalls will be put up by various State and Central government departments, PSUs & NGOs at the venue to showcase their programmes, schemes, achievements and services. He informed that lectures will be delivered by the resource persons on various flagship and rural development package themes like MGNREGA, NHM, IAY, SSA, Mid Day Meal Scheme, ICDS, PMGSY, RTI Act & Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for Welfare of Minorities besides latest schemes like Social Security Schemes, Beti Bachao Beti Padao & Swach Bharat Scheme.
He said that Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari will be the chief guest on the 2nd day of the campaign while Asiea Naqash Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare will grace the occasion as chief guest on valedictory day function on December 10.The press conference was also informed that a school children rally of around 800 students drawn from various educational zones will be held on the 2nd day of the campaign.
Special theme based cultural programmes will be presented by Song and Drama Division Kashmir region and school children from different schools of Uri Tehsil are the other attractions of the three day campaign. Two units of Directorate of Field Publicity Govt of India are already in the field for pre PIC programmes in the district on flagship themes. (KNS)
