Abdul Haq Khan, MLA Lolab, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan here today.Sh. Khan briefed Governor about to-date status of various important development projects in his Constituency. He urged Governor that the work on recently tendered two vital power projects at Donard, Lolab and Machil, Kalarus in frontier areas of north Kashmir must be started at the earliest as people of the areas were facing immense hardships. Sh Khan informed Governor that the timely implementation of these projects will not only provide robust power supply to the whole district but it would also benefit the irrigation and other sectors. He also urged Governor that the Lolab-Bandipora road shall be taken up at the earliest in order to provide the vital road link between the two important district headquarters of Kupwara and Bandipora.Governor appreciated Khan’s concerns and urged him to continue sustained efforts for promoting people’s welfare in the border areas of north Kashmir.
