Minister for CA&PD, Ch. Zulfkar Ali Friday underscored the need to stimulate scientific temperament and learning among the students. He said science congress presents a befitting platform to infuse scientific spirit in them and give wings to their curiosity.The Minister was speaking in a function held at Handa College of Education, Sainik Colony, Jammu today.The function was held in connection with 23rd National Children’s Science Congress-2015 on the theme “understanding weather and climate” organized by J&K Students Welfare Society, Anantnag in Association with National Council for Welfare and Rural Development Society, Jammu.

The Minister congratulated the participating students and wished them success in their career and in the National Level competition. He also appreciated the organisers.Ch. Zulfkar also distributed certificates among the student participants.Director, CAPD Jammu, Director, Handa College of Education, Principal of the College, officers of NCSTC and students of different educational institutes of the State were present on the occasion.NCSC is held annually in the month of December. After a thorough scrutiny at district and state levels, about 500 children take part in five day long deliberation and fun- filled science activities.
