Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Power, Housing & Urban Development Department, Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that the government is committed to provide high end community facilities for people of Srinagar for meeting their day to day needs.The Minister was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a community centre cum marriage hall at Nowshera Srinagar. The community centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs 85 lakh and consists of all the modern amenities.“The possibilities are being explored to utilize these centres for vocational and related activities for youth development apart from routine social affairs,” the Minister added.The Minister said that there is great need of establishing such community centres in Srinagar city due to scarcity of open space.Meanwhile, various deputations and individuals met the Minister and apprised him of their issues seeking an early redressal to the same.Later, the Minister visited Skhbagh community centre which is also being constructed by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC). He was informed that the community centre is expected to be inaugurated within this year.The Minister was accompanied by MLA Zadibal Abid Hussain Ansari, Commissioner SMC and other officials.
