Scores of shopkeepers and other business establishments at Saraf kadal here Thursday staged a demonstration against forces, alleging frisking by Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) personnel outside their shop have adversely affected their daily business.The shopkeepers observed half day shutdown as a part of the protest against the forces.While talking to KNS, Abdul Rashid, a shopkeeper said that by frisking by the forces outside of their shops have adversely affected their daily business.

They said that with the daily routine of frisking by forces, their survival has become worsen as it has affected their business. “The forces stop the vehicles outside of their shops daily due to which shoppers refuse to enter in to our shops. We all are facing tough time due to the daily routine of the police personnel,” They said.They said that they are not against the frisking but the officials should move to other places to conduct it. “We have appealed several times to the officials but all has fallen into deaf ears as nothing has been done in this regard,” shopkeepers said.They later appealed the higher officials to look into the matter and redress their grievance at earliest.
