Minister for Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Mr Abdul Haq today conducted extensive tour of Chenani, Latti, Dudu, Basantgarh and Ramnagar areas of the district Udhampur to take on-the-spot stock of various development works of RDD as well as other departments.He was accompanied by MLA Chenani Mr Dinanath Bhagat, ACD Dhananter Singh, XEN PWD, PHE, PDD, REW, DPO, BDOs and other senior officers of the various departments.During the visit, Minister met various deputations of Sudhmahadev, Sarad, Jakhad and listened to their problems patiently. He assured all possible help from the government to redress their grievances.The Minister instructed ACD to construct a shed at Sudhmahadev temple and four toilets at Sudhmahadev mosque and two passenger sheds at Sarad village. He also inspected Dharindra Brahamachari Ashram at Mantalai, Panchayat Ghar and Common Facilitation Centre (CFC) Marothi. He also instructed ACD to do fencing of Panchayat Ghar and CFC at Marothi. He also inspected primary school upper Bathian at Dudu.
Later, the Minister also interacted with people at Latti, Dudu, Basantgarh and Ramnagar.During these interactions, people put forth various demands which included construction of new Panchayat Ghar at Latti, construction of BDO Office at Latti, proper scaling and distribution of ration, construction of 3 km tractor road from Dhuna to Latti, installation of solar lights, construction of Guest House at Dudu, construction of CFC at Dudu, blacktopping of Latti-Dudu road, installation of electric poles, augmentation of staff in education and health departments, construction 3 Km tractor road from Basantgarh to Chakka , construction of VIP Hall at Basantgarh etc.The Minister assured the people that all their genuine grievances would be redressed on priority.He instructed ACD to construct new Panchayat Ghar at Latti and also directed him to incorporate construction of Dewada Bridge on Tawi under MGNREGA convergence plan.Minister also instructed ACD to start work on construction of 3 km tractor road from Dhuna to Latti, 3 Km tractor road from Basantgarh to Chakka and construction of Guest House at Dudu.
Executive Engineer PWD was directed to fill the hot pots and start blacktopping of Latti–Dudu road at the earliest.The Minister said the Government is committed to provide transparent, corruption free and good governance to the people. He also informed that he had already ordered construction of several bridges in district Udhampur under Project Rahat.he also instructed ACD to repair Panchayat Ghar at Basantgarh. He ordered disciplinary action against BDO Basantgarh, Panchayat Secretary Basantgarh and GRS Basantgarh for various laxities in discharge of their duties.The Minister instructed SDM Basantgarh and BDO to ensure the cleanliness and make the area polythene free.MLA Chenani also appreciated the District Administration and RDD for initiating construction of new bridges in the district. He also demanded blacktopping of road from Mantalai to Dudu, filling the vacant posts in schools and PHCs, construction of New Panchayat Ghar at Latti and CFC at Dudu and Latti.Among others, Sarpanchs, Panchs and people in large number were also present on the occasion.
