In response to a letter written by the chairperson Dukhtaran-e-Millat Syedah Asiya Andrabi, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Miyan Nawaz Shareef has termed that Pakistan sees the Kashmir Issue as a part of the principles of division of the Subcontinent in 1947 and reiterated that Pakistan won't stand down on its historic Kashmir Stand, statement issued by DeM said.Thanking Andrabi for her letter Nawaz Shareef, as per the DeM has written: ''I am thankful to you for your Ideas and sentiments. May Allah give me the strength to live upto the expectations that you have expressed on me and the Islamic Democratic Republic of Pakistan. The faith you have expressed on the Pakistan's current stand on Kashmir is a matter of satisfaction for me''.Prime minister while expressing solidarity with the stand of Baji Sahiba on Kashmir Issue said '' Pakistan, does not consider Kashmir to be a Geographical or border dispute but a dispute due to the unfinished business of partition of the Subcontinent in 1947.
The essence of the the principles of partition is that the Muslim majority state of Kashmir should be given the right to self determination. This right has been recognised by the entire world through the forum of United Nations. India itself has promised the world community that Kashmir would be given the right to choose it's political future through the exercise of self determination. Backtracking from this promise would be betrayal of the promise done to the entire world community''.Prime minister.Rejected the notion of UN resolutions being outdated and thus non practicable'' lapse of a long time does not mean that these resolutions have become outdated. People in Kashmir, under a leadership like yours, is carrying on an exemplary struggle and have laid down historic sacrifices. These sacrifices have only increased the importance of the resolution of the Kashmir issue. No Matter what India says,the resolution of Kashmir can be only achieved through a free and fair right to self determination.
Commenting on the role of Pakistan regarding Kashmir Issue he said ''Pakistan realises the importance of its role regarding Kashmir. Insha Allah we will not show any weakness in our stand.we know that your struggle is for a right that has been recognised by the entire world and which is appreciated by every nation that believes in Human, Moral and democratic rights.He reiterated the support of Pakistan towards the struggle for freedom of the Kashmiri people'' as in the past pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmir with a refreshed zeal''.Recognising the determination and sacrifice of Baji Sahiba he said,'' your struggle, sacrifices and determination is something to be proud of. It has lead a new zeal and zest to the struggle for self determination and now nobody can rob the Kashmiris of this right. Every new day lends a new life and strength to this struggle and the day is not far when the shackles of occupation will be broken and the Kashmiri will have their right to self determination and the struggle of the daughters of Kashmir will yield a result.Pertinent to mention is that Baji Sahiba had written to Nawaz Shareef after Pakistan took up issue of Kashmir at UN and other international forums.
