Chief Secretary, B. R. Sharma Monday reviewed the facilities being extended to the employees in the estates colonies in winter capital Jammu in a meeting, he chaired here.Civil Secretariat and other move offices started functioning at Jammu today after closing on 30th October at Srinagar.Chief Secretary received brief on the overall status in the estates colonies with respect to the availability of water, electricity, garbage containers, parking lots besides security arrangements.To allay the concerns regarding water supply in some of the main estates colonies, Chief Secretary asked Chief Engineer, PHE to explore the feasibility of meeting water requirements by agumentation through bore wells on pilot basis."Water, electricity, sanitation and proper security arrangements should be ensured in all estates colonies" Mr Sharma stressed. He also asked Director Estates and floriculture department to ensure sprucing up of parks and lawns in the premises of estates colonies.Earlier, Chief Secretary had visited the estates colonies to personally take stock of the facilities for the comfortable stay of the move employees in the winter capital.
