The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here wore a deserted look on Sunday following the party's resounding defeat in the Bihar assembly polls.Though no senior leader of the party was present at the office, a few spokespersons and local leaders were heard justifying the defeat."Several leaders had come to the office in the morning, including Ravi Shankar Prasad. But as the results started moving against us, they left," said Praveen Singh, a local party worker."Ladoos and several other types of sweets were ordered to celebrate. However, looking at the poll result trends, all the orders were cancelled," he told IANS.The party office at 11, Ashoka Road in Lutyen's Delhi also had made several other arrangements, including dozens of large screens and lunch arrangements, in anticipation of the party's victory.
