Terming forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Jammu and Kashmir a historic event, Minister of State for Information, Education and Culture Priya Sethi today said the visit would set-off a new chapter of development in the state and further strengthen the agenda of alliance on which the coalition partners BJP and PDP are working tirelessly.Priya Sethi said the PDP-BJP alliance has been formed to give the people a transparent, corruption-free and accountable administration and with the active support of the central government, J&K would march ahead on the path of peace, progress and prosperity.“Our state has got special patronage from Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and he has stood up to the expectations of the people even in trying times of flood and natural calamities,” she said while interacting with people from different walks here.

The Minister said the present dispensation led by the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been working towards ensuring all round development in the state and the coalition partners are steadfast on the resolve to address the issues of development of all three regions and sub-regions of the state.Calling upon the people to join the biggest ever rally of the Prime Minister in Srinagar on 7th November 2015, Priya said people should come and witness the historic rally which Narendra Modi would address, adding that the visit would further give impetus to the revolution of development that has been launched in the state by the present government.She said major development projects, social welfare schemes, skill development initiatives, tourism and heritage projects have been launched by the present government in the state, adding that liberal funding from the central government has ensured that the expectations of the people of the state are met in a time bound and transparent manner.Legislator M Y Sofi and BJP leader Ashok Koul were also present on the occasion.
