Minister for R&B, Gardens, Parks and Floriculture, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, this evening, visited Gonikhan, a business hub in Amirakadal constituency and took stock of the damage caused to the business establishments in a fire incident the other day.The affected shopkeepers demanded permission for reconstructing of their damaged shops so that they can start their business early.The SMC Commissioner was asked to prepare the permission documents of affected shopkeeper to enable them to start reconstruction work early.The shopkeepers assured them that reconstruction would be as per old plan of the building.  

The locals also met the Minister and demanded early re construction of community hall in the area. The Minister directed Deputy Commissioner to ensure that land identified for the purpose is transferred to the SMC in order to implement the project early.Earlier, the Minister visited Ikhrajpora and took stock of the damage caused to local masque in devastating fire yesterday. He expressed grief and sorrow over the death of masques’ caretaker who lost his life in the fire. Extending sympathies with bereaved family, the Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation and senior police officers accompanied the Minister during the visit.
