The BJP on Friday dismissed Congress' charge that the central government was trying to protect former IPL chief Lalit Modi by seeking his "extradition" and not "deportation" from Britain, and accused the opposition party of using the issue as a "diversionary tactic"."Instead of answering serious questions raised by the Bharatiya Janata Party on huge financial irregularities in Young India company in which Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi hold shares, the Congress is diverting the issue by talking about Lalit Modi issue that is already settled," union minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.He said that Young India took loan from a firm involved in black money deals and questioned the manner of acquisition of Associated Journals, which owns expensive real estate in many cities."They must divulge to the country their magical formula like land grab cases and Young India model of making money, that enrich the near and dear ones of Congress leaders," he said.Javadekar also refuted the charges that Modi government did not do enough to bring back Lalit Modi to face the country's law.
