To ensure supply of essential commodities to the people at affordable rates, good quality and in sufficient quantity especially during upcoming Eid-ul–Azha festival, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar issued directions to Tehsildar Doda to intensify market checking.While chairing a meeting the other day, to review the arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha Kumar had directed flying squads comprising of EO municipality, SHO, Assistant Controller Legal metrology and Designated Officer food and safety headed by Tehsildar Doda to activate their resources and conduct frequent market checking to check overcharging, black- marketing , quality and hoarding of essential commodities in the market.

He revealed that sufficient mutton, besides live sheep and goats will shall be available in the market and asked Tehsildar Doda to ensure that all such items are supplied to the people at fixed rates. He further informed that  the fixed  rates include Mutton Safi at Rs. 300 per KG, Ojri Rs. 150 per KG , Offal Head ( ready to Cook)  at Rs. 150 per KG , Offal legs (ready to cook) Rs. 170 per Kg, Milk Rs. 35 per liter, Curd Rs. 40 per liter, Cheese. Rs. 220 per Kg and live Sheep/Goat at Rs. 180 per KG.

Besides, EO municipality was also directed to display contact numbers of Tehsildar and EO municipality Doda at conspicuous places so that people can register their complaints on the said numbers.XEn PHE Division Doda was directed to ensure supply of safe drinking water at Eidgah, in the Town and in rural areas besides he was also instructed to plug the leakages at various places across the district.XEn PDD was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply, SSP to make necessary security arrangements, CMO to ensure availability of medical facilities at Eidgah, AD, CA&PD to ensure the supply of essential commodities including sugar to the consumers and EO municipality to ensure cleanliness in the town.Dy. SP traffic was also asked to regulate traffic in and around Eidgah on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Azha, while as and XEn R&B was asked to maintain roads and drains.
