On 124th birth anniversary of Khudiram Bose, NSF University Unit organized a function to pay rich tributes to Khudiram

Bose, at Campus, who laid his life for the country. Dr.D.L. Choudhary, Administrator, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Jammu University, was the chief guest while Dr.Vikas Sharma, presided over the function and Sukhdev Singh President NSF, was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion Dr.D.L. Choudhary, Administrator, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Jammu University, appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF member to remember the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the of the Country. He also stressed upon the youth to shun their self centered outlook and contribute in the development of the nation. He said that Khudiram Bose was a freedom fighter, who was one of the youngest revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He was born on 3rd December 1889. Khudiram Bose was influenced by the notion of karma in the Bhagvad Gita, and was involved in revolutionary activities to free mother India from the clutches of British rule. Khudiram Bose was the first martyr of the early twentieth century.Dr.Vikas Sharma also addressing the gathering said that the sacrifices of such great people could not be ignored, which had secured freedom for the country and its people. Khudiram Bose showed a revolutionary spirit even when he was a mere child. As a child Khudiram Bose loved adventure and was widely known for his courage and bravery on the face of danger. Khudiram Bose led a life of risk and adventure, never for once flinching from his goal of acquiring freedom for his country.

Sukhdev Singh light on the life of Khudiram Bose, a young political activist from Bengal, was not only one of the most prominent figures

in India's fight for freedom from British rule, but also the youngest revolutionary that the Indian independence movement had witnessed. It was this hero who threw the first bomb on the British who were crushing India. While at school, at the age of sixteen, he plunged

into the war of independence to free mother India from the clutches of British rule. He was hanged to death on 11 August 1908. Qayoom Malik University President NSF was delivered the welcome address; Vikram Madhyal Chairman University Unit was delivering the vote of

thanks. Among those who were present in the occasion, Altaf, Balwindwe,Rakesh, Avtar, zulfi rakwal, and others
