The Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of construction/upgradation works undertaken by the R&B department in the district.The DC sought status report of development works undertaken by the R&B department and advised them to expedite the construction works and remove bottlenecks, if any.The DC was apprised about the works undertaken by the R&B Department including Lalan-Ganoor Bridge, Aripath Bridge at Mataygund, Larnoo Dravay, Ranipora, Verinag-Jawahar Tunnel via Imoh, Krad-Mattan and various other roads of the district.The District Development Commissioner stressed upon concerned Engineers to speed up the work on developmental projects by utilizing all available men and machinery so that the completion of various projects is ensured within stipulated time. He set a deadline of March 2016, for completion of Larnoo, Dravay road and Aripath Nallah Bridge at Thajwara. He further instructed for completing auditorium of Government Degree College for Boys Anantnag by October 15, 2015.The District Development Commissioner urged upon Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag to complete the revenue papers for land acquisition of Circular Road by September 10, 2015. Besides others, the meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer R&B, Executive Engineers of various divisions and other District Officers.
