BJP Government Implemented Various Schemes For The Welfare Of The People

The BJP Government during last four and half years of its regime had implemented various schemes for the welfare of the people and had benefitted every section of society. This was stated by Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister in two day long State level BJP Executive Meet at Mandi today. He said that the State Government had fulfilled more than it had promised in the election manifesto for welfare of people of the State which was vindicated by 67 awards conferred upon the State by different National and International agencies including Government of India.  Chief Minister said that Election Manifesto had been adopted as Policy Document of the State Government and it was ensured that the policies and programmes of the Government reach to targeted beneficiaries. He said that BJP Government had not only fulfilled the promises it had made to the people but had gone beyond that as is evident from various schemes it had launched to benefit common man. He said that under Rs. 65 crore ‘Atal Bijli BachatYojna’,  four CFL each were provided to the people thereby saving Rs. 110 crore on electricity billing. He said that the rates of power were increasing in the neighbouring States and the BJP Government in Himachal was providing subsidy to the people amounting to Rs. 190 crore during current financial year.Dhumal said that Rs. 353 crore Pandit Deen Dayal Kisan Baagwan Samridhi Yojna had also been implemented successfully besides Rs. 300 crore Doodh Ganga Yojna for upliftment cattle rearers. Under both the schemes subsidy upto 80 percent and 25 to 33 percent respectively was being provided. He said that per capita income had also increased from Rs. 43,900  during 2007-2008  to Rs. 73,600. Besides, Gross Domestic Product has also increased from Rs. 33000 crore to Rs. 63,000 crore. He said that concession stamp duty  upto loans  of Rs. 10 lakh was being provided to the farmers and Rs. 321 crore Organic Farming Project in association with JICA ( Japan) has been launched. He said that under Horticulture Technology Mission, the fruit growers of the State were being provided loans from Cooperative Banks on lower rate of interest. He said that loan upto Rs. one lakh was being provided to shepherds for purchasing  40 sheep and two rams under ‘Bhed Palak Samridhi Yojna’ and were being given 33 percent subsidy on the loan. Chief Minister said that support price of Rs. 6 per kg was being given on apple and mango fruits to provide remunerative prices to fruit growers of the State. He said that BJP Government was the Government of common man and had launched  various welfare schemes for every section of the society. He said that the State Government had enhanced the daily wages of the workers from Rs. 75 to Rs. 130 and social security pension from Rs. 200 to Rs. 400 during last four and a half years. Dhumal said that the BJP Government had provided 50% reservation to women in Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies so as to ensure their participation in formulation of schemes. He called upon party workers to fan out the policies and programmes at grass root level so that people could take benefits from the schemes launched for their welfare. He said that every party worker should work tirelessly for accomplishing ’Mission Repeat’ BJP Party. Kalraj Mishra, State BJP Incharge, Satpal Satti, State BJP President and Dile Ram, District BJP President Mandi also spoke on the occasion.
